Nice, it's pleasant.
However I rated it low due to antiques being in a children's museum geared to towards toddlers and children, this is a major health hazard for LEAD POISONING.

Antiques are a health hazard for lead poisoning and other heavy metals.

Really cool place for a field trip! We had the best time today. I definitely wish Birmingham had something like this.

We really liked the museum a lot, it's small but the children really enjoyed it, one of the girls spoke Spanish, so we thought it was super cool, the bathrooms are clean and they have a small souvenir shop when you enter.

Our family visited for the first time and loved it. We'll go back asap. The basement was a big hit for our small children. They didn't want to leave. The staff were mostly young people that day and were pleasant. The displays for looking at, learning, experiencing, and playing were great. The only parking that we saw was street parking. The price is more than we thought it should be. Especially a 1 year old being charged the same as an adult. And as a lot of businesses are doing, there's a charge for using a credit card. But we would recommend the museum.

So much fun! The my kids and nephew, between ages 5-11, had a blast here. Multiple levels of things to do. The only thing to be aware of is that it's in the city and the closest parking is 2 hours, so it's something you need to be aware of to avoid being ticketed.

Very friendly staff. My 4 year old niece played for 4 hours. There are 3 levels, all with fun interactive games and displays. We had a great time.

Decent children's museum from a contents perspective. Some of the sections, like the hospital, general store , or drug store, would have been great with interpretation or actors (there was plenty of staff doing absolutely nothing that could have been tasked with educational duties).

We were only able to see two of the sections. We were given incorrect information about section availability when we arrived and paid, but when we followed those instructions, the top section closed before the kids could see it (despite the instructions given when we arrived).

Very unenthusiastic staff. There were more staff than visitors walking around. None of the staff at each station engaged with any of the children present. There was no interpretation, teaching, or guided discovery at this location. Most museums of this sort have educational support or interpretation at each unit or section of the museum. The workers only huddled and chatted amongst themselves.

So you have to read and learn as much as you can before you can instruct your kids. If you are not already educated about the subject matter, you won't be of much use to your kids. There is not much hands-on stuff for the kids to engage compared to other children's museums we have visited.
