They have a nice selection! Great spot to grab packs, and start collecting.

San Francisco is in dire need of a reliable card shop, and they have the supplies. I just wish there was a physical space inside the store

I used to love coming to this shop and browsing the cards and latest comics. I even met Robin Williams here. But now you can only stand at the door and ask for something. It's sad that crime has brought down Cards and Comics to basically an in person style online shop. If it's really that bad... maybe close the shop and create an online shop and save yourself the high S.F. rent. I miss your shop.

not sure what it will take for this dude to understand how much money he’s losing by not letting people browse and discover. why even pay the rent?

Update: I have no way of responding to the owner’s response to this review, so updating mine. I could not agree more about the crime in SF. Thieves should be prosecuted and jailed. My home has been compromised in the Richmond. I would argue that opening doors is a risk a business owner should consider taking because most others have and the opportunity cost is high to turn away business. It leads to a slow death.

As an old timer comic fan who is not up on what’s new, I rely on the recommendations of owners and patrons. Unfortunately I can’t get that at your shop so I have to go elsewhere to have a real conversation to explore interests and make a purchase.

I loved your shop. Now it’s not a shop. I understand the why. But I know there’s a market that is turned away. One can’t expect that every potential patron is going to call you and ask why you’re closed to the public in all but name.

And it’s a shame that you have to deal with crime. But it’s human to make assumptions. It’s not a good customer experience to walk up to a store that is a not a store but a door.

At some point you will need to reopen to keep the store alive, even with risks. I wish you the best. Bumped my rating to a 3 until you open.

Inside is closed to the public due to San Francisco's idiotic policies of not pressing charges or persecuting shoplifters and burglars. Try to know what u want when u go. No browsing. They are nice enough though

5 star fake reviews created by owner. Fake users only has 1 review and comment are all generic.

Since the pandemic has subsided and COVID restrictions have been lifted, it's incredibly frustrating that this store still refuses to open its doors to customers. They only offer curbside pickup, which makes it difficult to browse or inspect products in person before making a purchase. When you ask for assistance with selecting a product, the staff is often unhelpful and unwilling to go back and forth to show different items. This inconvenience is entirely self-imposed, and it’s unfair to expect customers to bear the brunt of it.It’s not our fault that they’ve made things so inefficient—simply reopening the store would solve these issues. At this point, they might as well shut down completely if they’re not willing to provide a better shopping experience. This setup wastes everyone’s time.

The store has good prices, but ultimately me and my friends and I don't enjoy the fact that it's curbside only. We understand businesses who prefer to operate this way, but unless you have a modernized website that shows at least 70% of your inventory, it's hard to get excited for.

My recommendation: call beforehand and see if they got what you're looking for or bring a list so they can check inventory and prices. Good people, good prices. But half the fun in collecting is being able to walk into a store and look around so I gotta take that into account.

I will never come back to this card shop. I purchased packs of Dragon Ball Fusion World from them at $7 per pack over the weekend and I came back today to pick up some more, but now they're charging $8.50 per pack. When I asked why the prices increased, they blamed the market and the fact that it was their last box. First off, market price for these packs are around $6 and second, just because you only have one box left doesn't mean you should squeeze as much money out of your customers as possible. Not to mention, almost every time I come, the person assisting me complains about other customers they have had during the day. Absolutely terrible customer experience.

I can only speak on the MTG cards. They had a lot of really old packs. I'm talking reeeaaallll old. Singles, sleeves, boxes mats, biders etc. It's a place to buy, not a place to play. For sure a cool place though.
