We went for a casual Thursday night Pokémon game. Staff were busy attending a Yu-Gi-Oh! event. However, they still gave my son some cards for free. A staff member that was playing Pokémon set us up with Pokémon Play! league packs. Another kind person offered us blueberry muffins and stickers.
They had everything you could want.
Their pile of extra cards for $.10 apiece included some great stuff! Shiny rares that were great for our home brew decks!

This is everything a game store should be, with friendly staff who are always helpful. They are always willing to order a product for you if they don't have it on hand. The store stays packed with players from various card games and their upstairs gaming area hosts miniature games. Definitely the place to play no matter what game you are into from 40k, to Magic, to anything else.

Both times I have been here, getting anyone to help me has been difficult. The staff has just been really standoffish. It's the same experience another reviewer, Corey, mentioned.

One time, it seemed everyone in the shop was more interested in MTG games going on, so I just wandered around for ten-fifteen minutes in the unattended shop area trying to find someone on staff to engage before finally walking out. (If I were a dishonest person, I could have pocketed anything and left with it... It was so completely unattended in the actual shop.)

The second time, I was in a rush because I needed some gaming supplies for an event, and thankfully there were two people behind the counter... But getting any engagement from them was still difficult.

I don't know, maybe it's one of those shops that just isn't interested or welcoming towards new customers or customers that don't match their envisioned demographic. They seem to have a strong customer base, so I guess they don't need to be.

I will find somewhere else to source my paints, collectibles, and gaming supplies.

Omg one of the BEST places for gathering holy moly, walked in and PACKED (that’s the good thing lol) so many great people, even have a dnd dungeon and a warhammer location in there, then the shop in there is absolutely mind blowing with figures and other stuff for card/board games it’s unbelievable

I dont know if you realize how incredible it is when you inspire a parents child. You spoke to my daughter and son about the latest booster packs and the rare cards from each. We chatted about our diverse family structure. You were chill about letting us sit for a while and open out packs in the store even though we unintentionally walked in before you were open. Your store is my kids favorite to visit in roanoke. My daughter wanted to rush up and show you one of her booster cards, that while not the one you mentioned was similar and precious to her. You made her love opening her booster packs. Thank you for putting inspiration and joy before anything else - looking forward to visiting again in the future.

I've been going to this store for about a year now and Ive to say the guys there rock! From getting all my special requests to running leagues for us! All the new stock is coming in fast and the unique candy section is one of my favorites! 10 outa 10 all day!

Made a review on Facebook about the negative customer service I received recently from them. Received a comment back stating to message them to speak about the issue. Before I even had a chance to respond, Blade blocked me from their page. After reviewing with my own personal business page, I noticed that you cannot even message the page.

Edit: A few days after I've spoken with said manager, I'm still blocked from the Facebook page despite the manager saying he is aware of the issues that they have with rude staff. I thought everything was all good and said and done but when I made the comment to the manager stating I'm still blocked, I've basically been ignored for now two days and still blocked despite the company still posting. I have never dealt with such an insane company. I tried to make amends and thought it was all good, but apparently they weren't.

Edit again: The owner reached back out after ignoring me for multiple days. It's apparent this company can't tolerate negative reviews and the truth really upsets them. I stand by the rudeness not only from the staff but management now as well.

Fun, friendly and inclusive atmosphere. If you’re into gaming of all sorts the expert staff led by Mike is knowledgeable and truly there to help. I highly recommend Blade to all .
