The Spirit Shop has the more expensive items under lock and key. I was trying to buy a 16yr old single malt. The clerk tells me to come back later because the person with the key stepped out. 30 minutes later still no key, nobody in the entire store has access to a key!!! #NoCustomerService

Disappointed. I'm a MEMBER. Not just a 'customer'.. but a Member. This alone should elevate the shopping experience to some extent. I guess not.
Let's start with showing your card at the door. It might be "Policy", but I don't know of another BJ's that does it. What a phenomenal waste of time. I was told.. that while you CAN shop without one, many of the customers who shop without one are shocked to learn of the 20% mark-up at the register, and so they check cards at the door so as not to 'traumatize' shoppers .. who apparently have no clue .. that in the year 2025 .. that it costs more to shop at a wholesale club without a membership. So, apparently BJ's would rather 'traumatize' the MEMBERs at the front door, rather than those shoppers who still don't quite understand how a Wholesale MEMBERSHIP Club works.
Gas Pumps, anyone? Roughly 50% of the time the pumps do not produce a receipt. "We're working on it". Seriously? I don't know of another BJ's .. and I travel a lot around the country, by car .. that is "working on it". Because the ones I visit seem to be able to (just like every other service station in America with pay-at-the-pump) produce a receipt, pretty much Every Single Time. So why don't they check with the stores that DO have reliable, printing pumps .. and do what THEY DO
The Berkley Jensen brand is NOT as good as the name brands. Scotch Brand dish scrubbers, for example, were great. BUT... BJ's decided to position itself as the Aldi version of Wholesale Clubs, and offer only house brands. Oh well.
Self Service, Anyone? YOU, the MEMBER.. not just a customer, but a MEMBER... get to scan and check out your own merchandise, while an electronic AI voice SCREAMS at you from the payment terminal. I can't even begin to imagine how the Senior Shoppers manage with this assault on their senses. I love how while all of this is going on, there are 2 or 3 people in red shirts that read "Stamp out Racism", just chatting or checking phones. Heaven forbid they should get on a register and check out some custo... I mean MEMBERS. Why not have red shirts that read "Stamp out treating Members like an irritating inconvenience."
I pay NOTHING Extra to shop at Publix or Aldi, by the way. But collectively, assuming that most BJ's members pay the $50-60 fee for the privilege of just walking in the door to purchase house brand products, the 7.5 Million members pay annual fees totaling around 375 MILLION. Seriously BJ's ? You can do better. And should do better.

Went in last Thursday at 5:30pm since my tire light was on. Showing low back left. The guy in the tire department is clueless. Asked him to check for air and nails. Tells me okay, I filled with air. I said did you check for nails. Oh,no. I will. There was a nail in the tire. I asked it to be fixed. He said he would not be able to since closing was at 6pm. So he left me leave with possibility getting a flat on the way home . He says. Oh yes, you can get a flat. Worst customer service ever. Hire people that have work ethic and care about their jobs. Totally frustrating.

I was visiting your store in West Palm and after I checked out i noticed that the 10.00 coupon didn’t come off. I went to the service desk for help. Immediately Liz tried to help me but needed her manager Coleman to assist. Both were very helpful, Courteous and went beyond their call of duty. My Receipt had to be returned and repurchased to receive the 10.00. They were outstanding with what they accomplished. They deserve some recognition (raise or reward). I usually shop in port charlotte. Also you need to fix your system for returns or price adjustment s. Charlotte (englewood)

Just shopped at the new BJ’s in West Palm Beach. The store is well stocked and a good shopping experience until you go to checkout. When you enter the store you receive a small booklet with coupons. Be careful trying to use them. Very deceptive coupons. If you use Express Pay in the store forget about the coupons. Full page ad for $10.00 off your order, forget it. Only new members!! The wording on the coupons is very deceiving. Read the fine print VERY CAREFULLY!!

Today 11/02 I witnessed a senior - obviously had a disability
- not sure why she was standing at the entrance - but she needed help and the girl at the front kept saying I’m sorry…
Then I heard the lady ask someone “where did you get your cart?” He pointed…
I looked- the carts were in the parking lot …no where near the entrance and no where near the handicap parking
What’s the sense in putting the handicap parking next to the entrance and the shopping carts out in the parking lot far away?
She asked for a manager and I was informed there was not one available!
I witnessed this while waiting to return one item - no receipt- have my membership card in hand and was not allowed to go in the store because I had no receipt
So I asked what is a lady to do?
She said customer service would come to the door?
Meanwhile people are coming in (new store) and the customer service line is getting bigger so how much longer do I continue waiting?
I left- will continue shopping at 441 store- they get my 5 stars!
New BJS PBL so far terrible customer service!
They said they were gonna open in November then ended up opening in October!
Very disappointed 🤨

Longtime Costco member thought I would give the new BJ’s a try. They offer free 1 day pass to try the store. Surprise! 20% surcharge after purchase! They admit they give you no notice. Rude when I asked. Never going back.
