I would NOT recommend BPD to any mortgage or real estate professional looking to make a change for CRM.
But if you are going to switch to BPD, be mindful of a few things, here was my experience:
1.) Avoid Upfront Fees - BPD's monthly quoted subscription fee is appealing at $119 per month per seat/user, however expect to pay additional charges such as Setup Fees, Drip Add On Fees, & Encompass Integration fees. These fees can add up, mainly the Encompass integration fee.
They will push for a 12 month Subscription w/Encompass, but what they fail to disclose is in the event you delete a user account then you will NOT be credited/or refunded for the unused prorated amount of that prepaid seat fee. As we all know, the mortgage and real estate market is volatile/tough at the moment (this review is written 2023) and has been since Feb 2022, so in the event someone on your team leaves or you have to make a difficult decision to layoff, those prepaid seat fees will NOT be prorated or refunded. BPD will apply a "credit" towards overage use of the SMS's or email send out or minutes used.
In summary, pass on the 12 month subscription, pay the monthly, you wont save that much (we saved a whopping $382 on a $3900 charge) take the conservative approach and add monthly subscription seats as needed.
2.) DRIP CAMPAIGNS - Its not super simple or user friendly to setup a drip.
3.) OVERALL APPEARANCE - The system appearance, design, and functionality is dated to me. In mortgage terms, its like working in calyx when you could be using Arive, if that makes sense. Its like using an old school flip phone versus the latest iphone.
4.) NEWER FEATURES NOT SO NEW - Chatgpt AI integration and recruitment integration are non impressive, these functions could ALL be done with zapier now, or other crms without an upcharge.
5.) CUSTOMER SERVICE - If you are looking for assistance for setup, integrations, questions then you can typically get on calendar within 48 hours or less. But if its billing related, be willing to have to chase. Sending a text to the team within the system, you may not hear back at all or a week. You will have to be the one calling in. And the moment there is a discrepancy, it feels as though unless you are a power user or an account that has a lot of paying seats with them....You are not going to be a priority.
6.) SPAM CALLS - BIG headache Warning - if you use their phone system as your office phone (like we did), be prepared to field more SPAM calls than ever before.
7.) IMPORTING CONTACTS - you have to send to them to do it, you cannot bulk upload yourself.
8.) FACEBOOK INTEGRATION - non existent, you will have to use zapier.
9.) GOOD STUFF - Mass texting/emailing are available features, reporting is easy to use, they seem to keep up with compliance by allowing opt-out messaging verbiage (we shall see how they handle A2P
10DLC), task assignment is pretty cool, and setting up filters is pretty easy to do to.
2 stars given verus 1 star because their customer service during onboarding was pretty good.
The views expressed in this review are based on my experience and are my opinion only. There is NO malice, its here to hopefully help BPD make some changes and improve going forward.
