We went to King-Con Spring Break 2024 and bought a shirt from Big Mike. They did not have the size our daughter wanted so we paid & placed the order. Fast forward to July and we still had not received the shirt. I called Mike up and he knew instantly who we were and what we were missing. He had lost our address and info. He made it up in a big way. He sent out 2 shirts and a bunch of star wars stuff. He really went above & beyond.

The store's inventory is cool enough - we didn't have a pleasant experience with the owner himself- Big Mike.. to our face he would say "yes yes yes, all is good" but when we'd call, he would never answer - it took me a while to realize he was ghosting us. When I called from a landline- to our great surprise, he answered on the first ring.
I'm a grown up, I understand sometimes the answer is no. But I find it a bit immature to run away hiding (the ghosting, blocking my number) instead of just saying - "the answer is no," or "not this time."

I can't say enough great things about this place. Big Mike is a class act and his store is the best in town. He's got a free arcade and a big variety of different things to look at/buy. He also sells candy and ice cream. Can't go wrong shopping here.

Business isn't as fair as it was made out to be. Customer service lacks professionalism. My experience with the service not so great! I have some concerns about the trade-in value. I sold him 5 popular Nintendo cartridges (Mario Racing, Mario 64, Star Wars, South Park), an N64 console with a red memory chip, and 5 PS4 video games (Rick and Morty, Iron Man, and a couple of others) for only $50, and he threw in an HDMI cord. Initially, he offered me only $20 for the N64 console, citing its lack of cables and the going price of $40 without cables, which seemed fair. But I assumed that would be the base rate for the other games as well. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized that one of the cartridges alone was worth $40 (Mario 64), and the other games I sold to Big Mike were also worth a significant amount. Good condition and all, but he failed to give me the half cost of those. It's on me for not checking the prices before trading, but I also understand that he's running a business. With him knowing the pricing of each game, and the N64 having a red memory card, I feel I should have received more than what he gave me. If you trade anything with Big Mike, do your research on the game values; don't just take his word for it. That's my biggest advice. It'll be a while before I go back after this experience, which is disappointing since I tried my best to support him.

His response to this review was, 'You failed to mention we threw in two milkshakes,' which was not the case at all. I paid for one, and then he took a Strawberry Shortcake doll i brought in for the other milkshake i received(had no whippcream either). Another fales claim he made in his response stating the games I traded were "sunfaded". Please post the pictures of these sun faded games for everyone to see. His response is a huge example of how he operates his buissness. Mario cart 64 itself will sell for more than what he paid for to me om facebook market. Gave him all the PS4 games for free, and he's stating he shouldn't have taken them? I would recommend going to another game store to trade in any games and doing your own research if you do decide to go here. Will not go here or support this buissness anymore.

First time visiting this location but was informed by big Mike himself that he's going to be moving to a bigger location in downtown route 66 closer the heart ❤️ of everything & just visiting this location it's was like stepping back in time to my childhood & I totally would have stayed to see everything that was in the store but unfortunately I was with my stepdad & his son that was visiting him from Denver, Colorado but it was a wonderful first impression of what to expect in the bigger location & I didn't get to taste any of the delicious looking food & drinks or play with the arcade in the store but I'll definitely be visiting him in the new location when he gets everything settled in & this was a very exciting experience to finally get to meet one of my favorite YouTubers & he's is exactly everything that you see in his YouTube channel & videos & I extremely recommend that you visit him & his store it's definitely worth the visit because it's very therapeutic & relaxing because time slows down & you are reconnected with the inner child that's inside you wanting to play again without all of the things of life that makes you feel unhappy & stressed out & remembering the simpler times when life was great but this is my opinion & outlook on the world but please just visit & make your own personal opinions if this wonderful place & meet Big Mike in person I promise you will always remember this visit
