I totally recommend this apartment! Alison helped us out the other day—she patiently showed us all the floor plans and found us the perfect place. This spot is amazing, super close to my table tennis court. We spent just half a day and decided to move in here. Applying was a breeze, all thanks to Alison. Saw this beautiful place on social media, decided to make a reservation online to take a tour. Big thanks to Vanessa, super helpful and patient, introduced & explained to us everything before we ever asked, it was the best visit I've ever had. What Vanessa did definitely made us wanted to move in right away because we know she cares. Anytime we ask questions, Vanessa always acts fast and get back to us quick. We are happy that we moved in, the building is super new and all community amenities are well maintained. Love it

The staff member Alison took me to visit the apartment. She introduced me to the whole situation of the apartment in a very detailed and enthusiastic manner. I was very satisfied. The facilities in this apartment are very new and clean, the rooms have good layouts, and the price is very reasonable. Very attractive!

Had one of the best experiences so far with getting an apartment as smoothly as possible. Vanessa was such a great help, very responsive, and helped us out every step of the way. I’ve lived here for a month now and any help or questions I have, they are quickly answered by either Vanessa or the rest of the ladies at the leasing office. They’re super friendly and very welcoming, and honestly makes this place feel complete! The entire complex is spotless clean, the cleaners are always on time, and the community is pretty quiet and friendly as well.

Be prepared for frustration and poor treatment if you’re considering moving into Aston at Gateway.

Edited 11/15: I am attaching the communication to assist the management team in their internal review process. I was genuinely shocked to see their claim that “your review does not fully align with the interactions you have had with the team.”

Unjustified move-out charges and unprofessional management:

I was charged for a full-unit repaint despite leaving the walls in perfect condition, with no evidence to support the charge. After three months of back-and-forth, including BBB involvement and highlighting that the charges were inconsistent with both the lease terms and California law, the charge was finally refunded. Not once did management apologize.

A particularly revealing moment occurred when I informed community manager Jayvon of my intention to issue a demand letter. Instead of addressing my concerns, he accused me of "threatening" communication and claimed he was "beyond prepared to see me in court." This response to a tenant asserting their legal rights speaks volumes about the management’s lack of accountability and professionalism.

Frustrating noise complaint process:

I’ve encountered persistent, excessive noise issues and reported them to the leasing office. They repeatedly asked for audio and video evidence, which I provided after significant effort. However, after multiple follow-ups, I was told, " we cannot accept videos as documentation from yourself. " This contradictory response and poor communication made an already frustrating situation worse and wasted my time. Very disappointing experience.

Unauthorized attempt to enter:

On 7/20/2024, a maintenance technician mistakenly tried to enter my apartment while I was not fully dressed. Although I stopped the door from fully opening, the intrusion was deeply uncomfortable, despite management apologizing afterward.

Had a tour with Vanessa today & she was the sweetest! Came into my appointment nervous not knowing what to expect but she was so sweet & made me feel so welcomed. She explained everything as throughly as she can to me about everything that was asked & gave the best tour! Wish I can say more personally but if you’re looking for a nice place, w great staff who cares, this is definitely the place. The staff is sweet, neighbors are nice, & it’s a very nice/clean apartments.

Amazing experience! Alison provided me with great help during the application. Due to personal reasons, I have to complete the touring and application online. Alison thoughtfully conducted a virtual tour and always responded promptly to emails and calls whenever I met with issues with my application, keeping me updated on the progress. When I finally arrived in LA, Alison warmly assisted me with the move-in process to set up several accounts needed for living. Among all the agents I've met, Alison provides the most professional and considerate support.
