Thanks Amarx. My whole experience from beginning to end was a nightmare. My house gets flooded still under one year warranty due to a defective valve (according to Amarx). I have to use my own insurance and now my premiums are highly inflated due to the record. After Amarx selling the last house, decide to let the coating and common areas poorly finished. I’m not the only person in our family disappointed and not the only neighbor in my community. We expect better services and finishes.

Their team is extremely professional, well-organized, and always a pleasure to collaborate with. They build beautiful homes with great attention to detail, which makes it easy for us as subcontractors to do our part effectively. The communication and coordination they provide on each job helps ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. We value our long-standing relationship with Amarx Homes and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a builder committed to quality and craftsmanship.

Surprisingly, it was extremely disappointing regarding the failure of the President of the company to provide the dignity of a response when questioned about his company’s inability to complete their work according to the standards listed in their Homeowners Manual and Warranty Manual. This is extremely unprofessional and reflects poorly on this company. The issued brought to the attention to the President and Project Manager is associated with their drainage techniques that were not followed according to their manual. They indicated to me that this is a warranty issue and since it functioned properly under normal conditions, they would not correct the problem. We discovered that Amarx, actually buried and dead ended the corrugated drainage tubing in the middle of the yard so the water from the downspout was backing up at the foundation. This is "NOT" a warranty issue, it shows that Amarx does not have good quality control to ensure that their construction work is fully completed to appropriate construction industry standards. Finally, this just confirms that Amarx does sloppy work and is incompetent when completing some facets of a construction job. It was brought to my attention, from other neighbors regarding problems with their construction techniques. Amarx is supposedly a so called “Premier Builders” of luxury homes in the Asheville area, I am shocked to see the company’s ineptitude, incompetence and unwillingness to handle this situation. This confirm that Amarx appears to be a company that is more concerned about “Profits” then producing a high-quality residential development.

She met us at the building site & she was so kind, helpful & informative. Next we met with Maggie, the interior designer who was great in helping us pick out all of our custom colors & custom finishes. Next we met Ian, the Project Manager & Mark, the Construction Manager. They were both amazing to work with & they watched over every step of the construction process to make sure that our townhome turned out exactly how we had envisioned it! Thank you so much for making this process such a good experience for us! We love our new home!

Amarx built a beautiful lake home for us. The owner, project manager and subcontractors were all great! They guided us through choosing a house plan and then were unbelievably patient as we changed some of the details. They were always responsiveness and dependable. This is the builder you want if honesty and quality work are important to you. We could not be more happy with the end result!!

Our experience with Amarx and John Nick Setterlind was top notch. They were professional at every turn, communicated with us clearly and consistently on timelines and updates, responsive, and did incredible work. We’re so happy with our home, and so thankful that John Nick led the way on building it. Also, big shoutout to Kacia Jurdi for all her help in making our home fantastic with her expertise on design! She was amazing.
