BUYER BEWARE
Do business with V3 at your own risk!!! But don't take my advice alone... see the other 52 0-1 star complaint reviews from pissed off people!!! ZERO STARS!!!!

They sent Eric who came out to my house quickly for the initial sales appointment 2 months ago. Then a guy come out the next week to take pictures and walk back and forth on my roof for an hour. They gave me a list of tasks which I diligently completed while I waited for their proposal appointment call which never came. After a month of waiting, I called them to remind them that I am cash in hand ready and desperate to mitigate my PG&E bill. They set an appointment time for Eric to come back and deliver the proposal which I was pretty much going to sign regardless of what the numbers looked like due to our ridiculous energy costs. Instead of simply showing up for our appointment and making a quick commish, he no call/no showed which was not cool since I took the day off to accommodate the appointment. Both my wife and I unknowingly reached out to find out what happened and were both told that they would get to the bottom of it quickly and get back to us right away. Another week went by and finally I called to thank them for wasting 2 months of our life and that our $$$ was going to one of their competitors. Absolutely non-existent salesmanship and follow through. Thanks for nothing.

Don't even bother calling V3.... there are so many other great options out there who want to do right by their customers and close the deal ASAP. Shame on you, V3 for being so bad at the basics!! After seeing all these other horrific experiences on Yelp, and now google, I am now VERY thankful that I avoided stepping into the ish and doing the deal with them.

We have been a customer of V3 for 10 years. The equipment they installed is now getting old and failing. they have not come out to repair nor replace anything. we’ve made countless calls to them. 1x they came and taped the hole in the roof. Then they came and put some goop over the hole. They stated the clip has broke and caused the hole. This leak in our roof is now going through to our sheet rock running down the walls and into our wood floor. They refuse to fix this correctly. We do not recommend this company. It has been under different ownership since we signed on. The integrity is no longer there. As this company is now run, we give it 0 stars. I couldn’t post this review without adding one star. It should be zero stars.Stay away.

2/19/25 We hired a roofing contractor to repair the roof and another solar contractor to inspect the original solar installation. They found the original installation of the solar panels had failed. This was not caused by roof failure but failure of the original brackets installed by V3. Thank you V3 for clarifying your position to only stand by your product for 10 years on a 20 year lease.

I loved working with V3! Every person that I worked with from the salesman, Jordan, that knocked on my door, to the sales engineer, Chaz, and all the installation guys were super professional and helpful. I had a lot of questions about solar power and the benefits of solar and each question was answered along the way. The installation was smooth and the panels look good on my roof. I am excited about locking in my electric bill and to be producing clean energy. V3 has so many options for solar and really helped me find the best one that fit my scenario. I would highly recommend the team at V3!

Your technician finally came out checked out the system. He informed me that I will have to rely on PG&E for power. That my neighbors trees (next door and across the street) cast a consistent shadow on my solar panels. I should have never been sold a Solar System; That I’m only collecting 1/2 of a kilowatt per hour of power. That I need at least 4 kilowatts to power my home. That there is nothing V-3 Solar can do.
When I called your office I was told the project is complete and there is nothing V-3 Solar can do. I was lied to through the entire sales process. Brandon Burke is a Fraud!!!!!

I will be contacting the Consumer Fraud Division of the State’s Attorney’s office.

By using V-3 and installing solar system my monthly electricity bill doubled. Prior to Solar my average PG&E bill was $286.00 a month. With V-3 solar; I pay $265.00 a month for the next 20 years. Just received my PG&E bill for $280.00. My home uses on average 947 kilowatts per month. V-3 solar system produces 97.4 kilowatts per month. Haven’t had a power outage, hasn’t been foggy at 4000 ft., in fact we’ve had sun most days, all day. In talking with people with experience; to compete with my low PG&E bill they didn’t sell me enough solar panels and I should have gotten two Tesla backup batteries. But that would have doubled by contract price to $530.00. How do these people sleep at night? My husband and I are retired on fixed incomes. Both is poor health and the certainly don’t need the stress of these bills. Why take advantage of the elderly V-3 Solar ? My next review will be sent to the California District Attorney’s Consumer Fraud Division. I strongly encourage others that were lied to and told “you can use all the power you want with solar” to do the same.

I feel that they are a scam when you decide to not go with them. They give a good pitch on savings. A week or so later the sales guy showed a printout of where they proposed to place the solar panels and said i have 30 days to think about it before moving forward. I texted and left voice mail with the sales person, email and main office. I only got a voice mail from sale person to which I text him back my cancellation. Finally after 2 months, I started getting texts and phone messages from an unknown number requesting a return call and to complete the paper work with out leaving nothing more than a first name and number for several months. I don't call back numbers and people I don't know. Finally the company name was given, so I called back. They now want to finish the job or I must pay them a cancellation fee of several thousand dollars for permits they claim to have gotten even though I canceled the job 3 months prior to them claiming to have filed for permits. They now have removed all correspondence from my email. Is this how they handle senior citizens?

This company is a joke. They are an installer for Enphase so if that is who you are going thru in the San Francisco Bay Area forget it. They are based out of Sacramento and it is an inconvenience for them to come out here because they do not have the man power to support the bay. We signed in April of 2024, they installed the system but forgot parts and it took them multiple times and complaints before they finally got it right and got the installation complete. Installation and final inspection wasn't complete until November 2024. They came out 5 different times each a different person rewiring the box and not doing anything to fix it. Today, they came out to check the battery and the box cover. Then told us this is an old system they have never seen before. I will say Carmen from their Customer service dept has always helped me. I like the product. I want to like them, but right now I can't

Had a great experience with V3! Contacted them for a Tesla powerwall 3 and additional panels. Process with permitting and install-extremely quick!! Had Alex, Sergio and Aron arrive on site right on time on date scheduled. We’re thorough in their explanations. Went right to work! Kept the area clean and tidy during the entire process. Helped walk me through new breaker set up, inspected panels with me. Lastly helped link up Tesla app for my new powerwall as well. Great guys, highly recommend V3 for your solar needs. Also had great communication through the whole process!

Extremely Disappointing Experience with V3 Electric

I started my solar system plans with V3 Electric back in July 2024, with an installation in August 2024. It’s now January 2025, and I am still waiting for my permit to operate. Meanwhile, my PG&E bill continues to rise, and I’m left with empty promises from the sales and management teams. Every time I reach out, I get the same vague responses, with no real follow-through or urgency to resolve the issue.

What’s truly frustrating is that, while their sales team is rewarded with vacations for meeting their quotas, customers like me are stuck waiting months for a system that was supposed to be up and running long ago. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but all V3 Electric did was shift the blame back onto me, with zero accountability for their delays.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company unless you want to deal with endless delays, poor customer service, and skyrocketing utility bills. There are definitely better options out there.
