Nice park in a good neighborhood. Love seeing all the people and dogs out and about here. The geese are fun too, with their young. There are some small vendors selling food and goods too. You can rent small paddle boats that resemble swans to paddle around the lake. Solid place to spend some time outside, especially in the evenings of hot days.

I used to just drive by this park and never stop because of all the bad publicity it had gotten. Not until you park and start walking around the park, will you really appreciate all that is going around the park.

March 2024

The park was a big social space with lots of families and friends walking around and relaxing. While overall, it was a fairly pleasant area, I can imagine it would be a bit unsafe when it is dark, especially as it's quite near to Downtown LA, which has a significant crime rate.

Had great coffee at Piknik Cafe, right next to the swan boats. Register online for the boats first, then stand in line. I walked around the park and felt safe during the mid-day hours. Children were playing, dogs were catching frisbees, and others relaxed under shaded trees. Bring a blanket. Lots of food and water sold by vendors. They even had an ice cream truck . Overall a wonderful family friendly day. Labor Day weekend 2024!

This park is okay for walking. Not a lot going on here, not a lot of people seem to come here and the preserve area isn't well taken care of. There is graffiti everywhere and the information boards about the park and animals are faded and have graffiti, so they're unreadable. I hope next time I visit, everything is a little better than before.

Good small park with fantastic view of downtown LA. Plenty of parking available if you are not going on a busy day. Feel pretty safe with also sculptures and food trucks.

The city has done a ton of work since I was last year about 3 or 4 years ago. The park doesn't have any fences on it, so technically it's open 24/7. What's really beautiful about this park is that there is no such thing as a bad angle for taking a photo. Everything about this park is beautiful.

The boathouse also has a little cafe attached, but the prices are expensive to say the least. If you do go, I highly encourage bringing cash.

The park is itself from roundabout 1935, and the architecture around the Park is all over the place including a staircase on the north side from around about the same time, to modern churches and apartment complexes.

Bring water and snacks. Try to pee before you come here, the bathrooms aren't always the best.

Echo Park is one of the places from my childhood that brings back such wonderful memories. I had the pleasure of visiting with my wife who also spent time here as a child. The park is still an attraction for families, couples, and those looking to get some fresh air. There are food vendors serving up delicious Sonora dogs, tacos, and various desserts and snacks. There is also a coffee shop that has delicious warm drinks and excellent coffee for those cold evening walks. The swan boat ride is a huge attraction and was so much fun and also romantic. We can't wait to come back with our dog Coco.
