I've been a couple times for lodging while conducting business in the area and I'm very impressed with how kind and welcoming the staff are. Being a dog friendly lodge is also very nice as I have a husky and he can run around off leash. Their karaoke on Friday's is also super fun

We came with our two young kids (3&6) and parents and we absolutely had the best time ever! We spent two days but easily could’ve stayed for longer. We and our children fell in love with all the kind and amazing staff, and of course the horses!! There is something for everyone here. It has been a fantastic experience. HIGHLY recommend!

The staff and people were incredible. There were 3 meals served everyday and they were all excellent. The rooms were so clean. The views were spectacular. There were lots of activities. Horseback riding, archery,fly fishing,skeet shooting,hiking, line dancing and evenings by the campfire. If your looking for a weekend getaway or even something a little longer and you want a quiet place surrounded by nature this is a definite must try. You won't be dissapointed.

I was struck by the peacefulness of the place...the mountains in the distance, the forests that trail rides passed through, the ranch's wonderfully landscaped and maintained grounds, all added to the positive ambience of the experience. I went with my son, his wife and family (3 grandchildren). They loved all the activities, especially riding, fishing, archery, panning for gold and, of course, s'mores at the campfire. No TV for a week...they didn't even miss it!||Riding was wonderful! Horses are well-cared for and well-trained. The wranglers are knowledgeable and patient. They were always watching the riders, trying to make sure the ride was going well for everyone. Questions were welcomed.||All employees were friendly and helpful. They want guests to have a positive experience.||Food was great. There was always a variety of choices at each meal. The chef even made 'kids' food' for my grandchildren if they didn't want what was offered.||I recommend Greenhorn Ranch for families, couples, groups, or anyone who wants to spend some time being active (or not) in the beauty of the Sierras.

We recently spent a week at the ranch and it was such wonderful experience. Our main interest was to get high quality horseback riding and we were not disappointed. We have done several similar trips at a different ranch in southern California and the experience at Greenhorn was so much superior. The wranglers were really outstanding. They got to know us as riders and were thoughtful about matching our interests and abilities to the right horse, great trail choices and the skill level of the riding experience with plenty of opportunities to trot and lope if you had the ability. They were eager to give tips to improve your riding. The horses were really well trained and responsive and you were able to ride the same horse every day if you wished. I can't say enough about the quality of the riding. Outside of the riding there were fun outdoor activities done really well including skeet shooting, archery, fly fishing and hatchet throwing. Jacob was the activities leader and he managed to give really great instruction to increase our skill levels while making the experience a blast with his sweet and funny personality. The lodging was not fancy but was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The meals were delicious and always with plenty of choices. Everyone at the ranch was so friendly treating you like family and everyone working there clearly loved the place and their work, and it showed. We loved everything about Greenhorn. We are definitely going to make it a regular annual family trip.

Amazing experience, 5-star customer service the entire time, caring staff, special attention, you name it, this resort met and exceeded our expectations. Starting with the initial booking and my special birthday request, to the final extended-stay checkout, these folks are a top-notch operation. Everyone- all staff we encountered, from office to kitchen to wranglers to maintenance- were friendly, helpful, patient and polite. This place is a hidden gem. They treated us like royalty, provided all extra requests, and gave us a special week to remember. This place is magical, the staff know it, appreciate it and it resonates through the customer experience. It’s truly one of the best places we have ever vacationed at. Much respect and many kudos to the recently new ownership group, who are evidently doing an amazing job managing/running/and obviously loving this place. We will be back and will bring all of our friends, family and business partners. Thank you for the extra special touches!

What an ABSOLUTELY wonderful place. Ideally you take “the long way” hwy 70 in during the afternoon for GORGEOUS scenic sun setting views up the canyon, windy but worth it as you go through fun tunnels like you’re in Yosemite. Next Pass through the quiet quaint town of Quincy to stock up on any forgotten supplies and boom 10 minutes later you’re at the ranch.

First; Wonderful staff; nice happy and fun. Next; Clean well equipped facilities with amazing meals and peaceful environments with countless activities like horseback riding, guided electric bicycle tours on the miles of trails around the property, fishing right on the property! And much more.

I’ve been here 5 times now and every time it gets better as they’re always adding more things to make it sweeter it seems. But This place is A MUST visit if you’re a fan of peace, quiet, and nature but prefer the finer sides of life. They Even has a 220 plug right out front for my electric car to charge while I stay. Wifi for some movie downloads. A Stocked! fridge with all alternative variations of milks for oatmeal / coffee - fresh fruits!

I could go on and on but I don’t want to sound scripted here. But seriously 5 star. Get out and enjoy this place you WILL NOT regret it. Great for the family or romantic getaway.
