The prices are high, and the monitors are smaller than any other of cafe that I've been to. I had to move to the "newer blue tower" computers in order to play over watch without lag. At the newer computer, my game keeps shutting down every 15 min... I asked to just pay for the 1 hour $10.00 and leave, but they refuse to accommodate me. I did not the service that I paid for!

Edit: After asking the manager for corporate's information, she called the store manager, who approved to give me my money back.

First I'm glad and grateful for such a place to exist in America, this model of business is very rare. About the shop itself, it is equipped with all the latest hits from every single multiplayer games out there one can find. There is also a VR room which is another added bonus. The consoles are there but I didn't use them. The pc can easily achieve at least 60fps in every games, however the chairs and the mouses are quite uncomfortable. The prices are fair.

Still fun but not what it used to be. They're also getting ready to close down permanently. Most of their stuff is for sale. Chairs, consoles, PCs, desks, network switches and more. Not sure about the other locations but Buena Park is closing at the end of November.

I had a fun time don't get me wrong. But there is one major scam which is the fact that they games they have advertised on the website for PC are not all free. To further expand on this when I arrived I thought that Howie's would provide accounts to play certain games, however this was not the case, you were required to have an account with the game(s) on it to play it, and being a PC gamer I had a few of the games listed but I would have no reason to play those here if I have them at home for free.

TL;DR - Some games advertised on the website were not able to be played without you personally owning the game on your account.

All in all this is the first time I've been to Howie's and the only reason I would return is to play the VR or if the above issue is fixed.

I booked a party there and put a deposit down of $100 due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel. They would not refund my deposit. When I originally booked the party there was no mention of of the no refund policy. I will never do any type of business when them again and will warn people I know how rude the staff is and to beware of them not refunding any type deposit for parties. Not to mention it was going thru a remodel when I booked the party and they could not offer a clear answer of how things would be set up for the party.

We have been customers for about two years and never had a problem with the old staff. All the new staff however are rude,mean,and obviously they dont like their job. Me and my cousin were playing black ops 3 when Tanner came up to us and said that we left the sink on when we didn't even use the restroom in the first place. When I went to go tell him ‘obviously pissed off' he told me that he had heard my name in the bathroom and a person giggling... I later told him to look at the cameras and he said that they can't do this and that he'd let this one slide...What a joke man

Very fun place to kill a Saturday. Excellent systems and a huge selection of games. Customer Service varies from mediocre to excellent, depending on the time of day. If an event is going on, you'll get great service.
