Horrific service. I am one of many impacted by the security incident Patelco experienced a couple of weeks ago. Not only are my accounts in shambles, they took money from my savings without any notification due to the overage they caused! When I was finally able to get through (after 3 hours 52 min) the person I spoke to clearly didn't care. She said she was a supervisor, said there's nothing for her to do and I wouldn't get my money back. It's my sincerest hope that this credit union shuts down completely after the way I was treated after 10+ years as a customer.

10/26/24:
1. Unable to login via web, getting error message with a reference code 6000010 right after I click on the human captcha question. I rried 3 different browsers, same thing. Called Patelco, she really didn't seem that concerned, nor it didn't seem like she even believed me. She suggested I try the mobile app and that was successful.
2. Ask her where I could send a screenshot of the error message, she replied via secure messaging. I guess it must be secure because I can't even find it.
3. Giving them a 2 star rating.
10/27/24:
1. Same problem as yesterday, still unable to login via website, getting same error message.
2. Reducing rating from 2 stars to 1 star.
10/28/24:
1. Day 3 and I still cannot login. At least someone from Patelco (maybe their IT department) replied via email with a set of troubleshooting instructions but none of them did any good, sent reply back.
2. Can't go lower than 1 star.

I Was rejected a Credit card due to some negligence by some other folks but she squared it up and fixed it for me. hence approved.

Cannot set up scheduled payment to credit card online. Isn't this the most basic of tasks you want to do with online banking? This place is so subpar because they expect all their members to be old enough to remember when Patelco was the credit union for "Pacific Telephone Company" employees.

I can't sing enough praises for Kim Gaffaney, from Patelco Credit Union. After enduring dozens of failed attempts to resolve the nightmare Chico Nissan Hyundai created, Kim stepped in and saved the day.

In under 24 hours, Kim tirelessly unraveled the mess left by Chico Nissan Hyundai. She quickly formulated a solution and confirmed that my $3,445 refund was safely deposited into my savings account. I was amazed at how efficiently she handled the situation.

Some questionable business practices and mismanagement at Chico Nissan –where I purchased a vehicle and financed through Patelco– had me in waiting months for money the dealership agreed in writing to return directly to me. The dealership delayed and pointed fingers at everyone but themselves. Kim collaborated with her internal network and also contacted the dealership. Before I knew it I had my money deposited into my savings account.

What truly sets Kim apart is her old school, top-tier, best-in-class customer service. She didn't just process my refund; she kept me informed every step of the way, regularly following up with phone calls and texts to make sure I was in the loop.

In today's world, where customer service often takes a backseat, Kim's dedication and efficiency were like a breath of fresh air. She exemplifies what true customer service should be, and I am immensely grateful for her efforts.

Thank you, Kim, for restoring my faith in genuine customer care. Patelco Credit Union is fortunate to have you on their team and you are fortunate to work for a company that empowers you to solve customer problems.

I will be pulling my accounts. I had fraud not once but twice and there telling me it could take 90 days for my money to be returned to me. What is the point of a fraud department that can’t do there jobs. This bacon has gone down hill. Will not bank with them again. What a shame.

Website shows outdated CD rates with the most recent being 90 days old. Rates posted are for minimum deposits of $250 with no indication of any rate adjustments for higher amounts. The only phone # posted is the auto response with no option to talk to a live body. Chat function loops back to the sign on page. Very frustrating. This institution is on a slippery downhill slope for customer service. I'll take my deposits where my business is valued.
