I had a very frustrating experience at the CubeSmart location in Diamond Bar. As an emergency contact for a friend who lost her storage unit due to cancer three years ago, I was unfairly treated by senior manager Rowland Correa and his colleague Josh.

They harassed me about my storage door being open, insisting it needed to be fully open for them to snoop around inside. However, their terms and conditions only state that the door must be open, which it was—it was halfway open, and I didn’t appreciate their intrusive behavior.

To add insult to injury, they questioned why I should be allowed to rent a unit when my friend had issues in the past. Their comments felt discriminatory and unprofessional. When I asked to see their terms for clarification, they terminated my contract and even contacted law enforcement, who confirmed that their actions were unjustified.

I felt disrespected and stereotyped throughout this ordeal. I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a respectful and professional storage experience. Look elsewhere if you want to be treated fairly.

Thank you for your response. However, I feel compelled to reiterate my concerns as my situation remains unresolved.

I recently received a letter with restated terms and conditions that tried to forced me into a second contract, despite my belief that I have done nothing wrong. This raises serious concerns about discrimination, which is against state and federal law.

Additionally, after vacating my storage unit, your manager locked me in the gate, deactivated my passcode so that i was unable to exit the storage facility. I have documented this incident and will be pursuing legal action.

I appreciate your willingness to make it seem to understand my experience, but I have not received an adequate response to my previous communications. I urge you to address this matter immediately.

The workers at this places were so nice and friendly.
Jacob knows everything and answer all the questions.
Roland he knows how to do the jobs. He cleans and maintains all the facilities well. When I asked there are so many bug in my unit he cleared in a second right away!

Incredible customer service! I came in on a Sunday and office was closed. I had a U-Haul full of stuff and was needing to move in that day but didn’t have my codes. I used the QR code and was able to speak to a rep (little bit of a wait.. But where was I going to go). He set me up and even was able to move my unit due to the original one not being prepped. The rep even stuck with me on the phone the entire time and even walked me through where to go. Very friendly and incredibly professional. I got the impression that they appreciated my business and worked for me to get settled in. With self storage being a very landlord “figure it out” kind of business I was surprised there was actual work being done to get me settled in. I have a unit at Public Storage and NEVER had that kind of help and usually had to track someone down at the complex and always made it seem like they were doing me a favor. So this was a breath of fresh air. So dear reader, avoid your first day being Sunday as they are closed and you’ll have to call in for help, but if you do I will say they do help you as much as they can.

Roland answered all my questions, worked with me on handling a tricky parking situation, proactively contacted me when the lock on my unit was not closed correctly, and again when it seemed that I had moved out.
