Really wanted to like this place and support a local business, but after going in a few times and seeing the price gouging I just can’t support it. I understand it’s a business and you can’t expect high demand TCG products / Sports Cards at retail , but their prices are just so unrealistic. They had a Paldea Evolved ETB when market price was around $45 and was asking for $70 but “would knock price down to $60 for me as a new customer” … okay , fine. But when I went in a second time and they were trying to sell a 3 pack blister of Scarlet and Violet base for $40 I couldn’t hold in my disappointment. Selling products at that high of a mark up when they are readily available online for retail just feels slimy to me. Again I understand it’s a business and there’s no hand outs, but at some point you have to be remotely realistic. $40 for a 3 pack blister of Scarlet and Violet base is borderline criminal. Can’t say I’ll be going back unfortunately, hopefully they come back down to earth, seemed like a cool spot.

Enrique, the owner of the store, impressed me with his excellent service and knowledge of his products. The store carries a wide variety of sports and Pokemon cards, which are sure to meet the needs of any collector or enthusiast. The pricing of the cards at the store is very fair, and I was especially pleased with the bundle deals that were offered. The owner was accommodating and willing to work with me to find the perfect cards at a price that fit my budget.

Overall, I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking to add to their collection. Enrique is a great store owner who provides excellent service and fair pricing. Whether you're a collector of vintage or modern cards, you're sure to find what you need at this store.

Today was my second time coming to this card shop and both times I left happier about life and my passion for cards in general, I been to many cards shops but never felt the way I did leaving this shop. Hands down the best place to get your sports cards locally. The owner Enrique has to be one of the coolest dudes you could know and has such and awesome personality. The shop vibe is immaculate and is such a chill vibe. Their instagram @montereybay_collectorslounge is always popping and where you’ll find most of the recent news and updates. All in all a awesome shop and it’s only going to grow!
