Mike is the best fitter. I have been to numerous high end fittings in San Diego and he was the best I have had. Made me feel comfortable and he has a great personality that makes the fitting process easier. Super knowledgeable and can talk to a gear nut like me all day. He never tried to upsell me and I was ready to spend at least double of what I did. Increased carry by 10 yards and dispersion was a lot tighter. Go and see Mike and you will not be disappointed. Jake also did a great job and was a great addition to the fitting team. They both made me feel relaxed and had a fantastic fitting.

For several years I been a fan of the Tour Experience (TXG) in You Tube and their fitting process. Washing their episodes showed me the importance of club fitting. I recently got fitted for a new set of irons at Club Champions Del Mar store and the experience don’t fall short in comparison to TXG. Michael Hawes the club fitter studied my golf swing and data to provide me with the best shafts and club heads to test during the fitting process. The process was very precise and detailed oriented were the new set of clubs are exceptional combination of shaft and head from which I gained 15 to 20 yards per club of distance and accuracy from the tee and fairway. The Mizuno Pro 245 clubs build by Club Champion are exceptional with excellent craftsmanship.

I went into this fitting optimistic because I hadn’t been fit for a driver since 2010. I’m a fairly knowledgeable golfer in the sense I know where my launch angle and spin rate should be. My current driver is a Titleist TSI 3 and with the new GT line out I figured I could get some better numbers. The swing weight of my driver was measured and I was surprised that it was on the “lighter” side at D1 (fitter explained D3 was the norm). I jumped on the launch monitor with it and had decent numbers with an average launch angle of 11.6 and spin rate of 2,650. We progressed into different shafts and the new GT3 head for the next hour. I remember telling the fitter that the options he was giving me felt slightly heavy. That’s probably due to the fact that my current driver setup is lighter than average. Regardless, it was clear that my current driver felt the best. Not once did he give me an option with a Titleist head that felt anywhere close to my current driver. The best option that was given to me was a head/shaft combo that was in the D5 swing weight range. Surprisingly I hit it well but it also felt like I was having to muscle it. My average spin rate with that club was 2,700 rpm. Not bad but I was just surprised the fitter couldn’t come up with ANYTHING else to lower my spin rate. My average swing speed with driver is 111 mph so I was looking to get my spin rate down into the low to mid 2,000’s. The fitter did mess around with different weights but at the end of the day I felt that I could’ve gotten the to the same conclusion on my own. I’m giving a 3 star review instead of 2 because he did spend a solid hour with me. Personally, if you’re like me and know what numbers you should be, you’re better off going to a local golf store and testing out different shafts on your own. They may not have as many shaft options but it’ll be enough that you can decide to upgrade or stay with what you got.

4 months after my original fitting, I now have my perfect putter. Thanks to Mitch, the regional manager, who made sure that this issue was resolved to my satisfaction.

Not a Master Fitting and so far the Perfect Fit Guarantee is just marketing…
I am recovering from back surgery and I went to Club Champion specifically to get fit for a putter that would allow me to stand upright and take pressure off of my back. I was very interested in trying a broomstick putter for this reason, so I signed up for a fitting. The first issue when I arrived was they did not have a broomstick putter for my fitting - my “Master Fitter” instead borrowed a broomstick putter from the golf bag of a guy who worked there. Unfortunately, it was not the same brand or style of broomstick I wanted. The second issue is the “Master Fitter” kept giving me different styles of regular putters to try, even though I had explained my reasons for wanting a broomstick. I feel like for these 2 reasons, my fitting was a waste of time. After I explained again what I wanted, he sat down at his computer and went through the order process with me and told me my putter would arrive in 4-6 weeks.
For a putter to have a legal lie angle it needs to be less than 80.* I am 6’4” tall with a bad back so I wanted my putter as upright as possible. This was the whole reason I got a professional fitting - to make sure I got the best club for me. For some inexplicable reason the “Master Fitter” ordered my brand new, expensive, custom made broomstick putter with a lie angle of 78.5* - I have no idea why when every degree matters to someone with a bad back. When I realized this and took my putter back to the store, I was told the guy who did my “Fitting” no longer worked there. I expressed my concern about the lie angle and was told that CC cannot change it and my putter will need to be sent back to the manufacturer. I went home and wrote an email asking CC to honor their Perfect Fit guarantee. That was over a week ago and I am still waiting to hear what they are going to do to fix this issue.

I am a high handicapper who was ready to take my game to a new level. I went into my full bag fitting with Greg a little nervous and I feared that I would be pushed to overspend after reading a few reviews about Club Champion online. Thankfully, the team at the Del Mar location could not have been any better and my experience was AWESOME.

Greg was AMAZING. He was patient with me (and my mishits) and incredibly honest. He did not push products on me that I did not need and he even gave me a few pointers that have already helped out my game. I cannot recommend enough-- I've already told all my friends about my experience there, but felt compelled to write a review as well. Go get fit at this location-- you will not regret it!!!

I have worked with Greg Milligan over the course of the last year to update my clubs. He is very patient, knowledgeable and takes his time to put the right club/shaft combination in my hands. The fitting process is thorough and there is no pressure to buy any clubs on the spot. Swings and swing speed change over time and getting fit for my new irons and driver have made a visible impact on my game. I am driving the ball 10-15 yards further and hitting my irons much more consistently.

Andy Houlette is a great fitter . Calm , studied , flexible and friendly. He can also provide quick tips if your swing during the fitting is a bit off.
Club champion has all brands of clubs and shafts so you get fit based on fitting data and results.
I was last fit 6-7 years ago and felt it was perfect time to get latest tech ONLY if data supported a 5% improvement. It did. Working with Andy , I ended up with a mix of brands across my set and went for lighter but stable graphite shafts in my Titleist T series irons . This will help me with my club speed as I age a bit more. Bag gapping is great now too and very happy .
