Well, I can see by their rating I'm just one of legions of "customers" who've been mistreated by Cox. In my case it took several calls to have my service transferred to my new address as I requested. I didn't need as high an mbps rate so I downgraded. They said my transfer would just go to new address, plug in modem and go. It did sort of but I had to call because they kept prompting with emails and texts to activate the service. Not what they said. I did and after some time, they said the old address service was stopped and the new address was in place. Fine. But then I noticed they failed to downgrade the mbps from 500 to 250 as we had previously set up. Another call. They transferred to a "specialist" who takes care of downgrade requests. He proceeded to grill me as if I knew nothing about how many devices I had and how much service I needed. I asked him to stop jacking me around and do what we previously agreed to. He then started in with me about my "attitude" suggesting that I call back later!! Can you imagine the afrontery of these idiots! They inconvenience me by flubbing up the service transfer and they're taken aback when I'm putting my foot down over their up-sales pressure tactics!! If you have another choice skip the morons!!!

Absolutely horrid service. Second 4+ hour outage in 2 days. When I finally got a rep to speak to, she offered me $1.67 compensation! Seriously! If you have another option, stay away from Cox

Customer service terrible, apps and online account systems terrible, back end systems terrible, agent scripts and troubleshooting processes terrible, engineering and design of network terrible. When the service works it is just ok, but if you ever have a problem look forward to dealing with incompetence for many hours or days with multiple calls and chats, no response from emails, and zero access to managers or knowledgeable escalation or process teams.

For 2 years, I've had issues all but 6 months. The issues went away but came back 3 months ago. Two tickets were lost or closed without action. My service drops multiple times a day, and the Cox site says there is an outage in my area, and crews are working on it. 15 min later, the message is gone, and nothing gets fixed. Phone support trys to pin it on my self owned modem, but my logs show it's them in the last .month I've had two techs come out and a third tomorrow. I'm not letting them off the hook till they fix this. I was told it was a bad box out back, they replaces it and the next tech said they put a old/bad box back in its place and the service got worse. My six years in the valley I only had good service while in Tempe on fiber. They won't put fiber in my neighborhood because they have new customers to get and forget the sucker's that are stuck in their monopoly. I wish Starlink was more reliable. It's an investment, but I'm seriously considering it. The Customer service says thanks for being a loyal customer. I wouldn't be if there was a viable alternative.

I have been using cox for two years in Lousiana, and today i move in and try to register with the new address in AZ, when i installed the modem it always say not connected, i try to fix it while texting with customer support, but still failed. then i ask the customer server to schedule technician visit but they should charge me $100 for it. i am surprised, before in Lousiana the technician came for free not right now in Arizona, better i using another provider with a better service.

Was a cox customer for over 20 years. They inflated JUST INTERNET to $189 a month. Finally got sick of the corporate greed and switched providers for equal speed, unlimited data, and only 40% the cost.

I only wish I left Cox sooner.

Took off work so I could drive out to my rental to be present for the internet install. Guy showed up in an unmarked mini-van and left without giving me a chance to answer. I called him as he was leaving and waived at him that i'm home, but he hung up on me as he drove away as I was trying to tell him. They don't care at all about their customers.

I'd put zero stars if possible. They over charge for internet. Which goes out all the time. Always having issues. When I contact support they never resolve the issue. They will send someone out and they always have a different idea of what's wrong and it never fixes the issue.

Then they charge surprise fees. My bank declined an auto payment. Later that day they accepted the charge and I was charged 25 dollars. When I reached out they refused to remove the fee. When their service goes out they only offer a couple bucks as compensation. I missed multiple days of work due to the service I overpay for losing hundreds of dollars and they offered me 5 dollars as compensation.

They are a monopoly in my neighborhood and from what I have seen they do everything they can to prevent any type of competition. They also took tax dollars meant to be used to upgrade the infrastructure and did who knows what with it.

They also sent me an email telling me to update my modem for fiber. But my neighborhood still does not have fiber installed.

I'm really unsure how they are able to get away with all of this. If this isn't already illegal then laws need to be changed.
