We went today and enjoyed this farm museum SO much! Rich was so personable and funny, a very warm hearted man. They have SO much interesting relics and information on the history of farming in Colorado. We all thought it was well worth the trip, and I believe younger children would REALLY enjoy it, as they have fun activities set up for them. 🙂

Not family friendly, extremely old fashioned. Tours should discontinue due to lengthy presentation. Hoped for the “family friendly farm” experience and left after being scolded for not listening intently to history lesson.

I went to this Farm with my wife and son a few weeks ago. It wasn't what I was expecting but I had a good time. Rich walked us around and gave us the full tour with a rich history of the farm. If you are looking for a back to the past view of farming in Colorado then you will enjoy Centennial Farm a lot.

Took my 2 grandsons, ages almost 7 & 9 1/2. We really weren't too impressed with the place (it was ok) but I wanted to show them a Centennial farm, since our family had a Centennial farm in another state. This family has done an amazing job saving & displaying family mementos & old farm equipment. The boys got to pet some cows & the other livestock...7 chickens, 1 turkey, one goat, 1 lamb, 1 pig & 1 cat. They tried lassoing a stick horse, "milked" a wooden cow (water in a rubber glove), washed a clothing item in a wash basin on a washboard & hung it up to dry on a clothesline with straight peg clothespins. What they had the most fun with was playing with the 2 water features in the old barn. One was a mini irrigation ditch set up to demonstrate how hoses siphon the water from the ditch. The other water feature was a diorama of the mountains & how the snow melt travels from the mountains to the plains.

I bought a groupon for our family. We took 5 children ages 4 to 8 and three adults. We went on Saturday afternoon this also happened to be their Pioneer weekend. Leanne was our guide. The kids wanted to see the animals. Leanne took us to see the cows, chickens, turkeys, a sheep and pig. She was very interactive with the children asking questions and explaining different animal facts. We toured the original home and then the family home from 1942. There also was a woman spinning sheep fleece to make yarn. Mr. Rick took us on a wagon ride called the trolly and explained farming. This is a great family activity. The Bee Family members were wonderful tour guides. We will return again next spring to see the new farm animal babies.
