Homicide Hotel, indeed! Like the Universal Studios of Escape Rooms, this experience is immersive from the moment you step foot through the front door onto the Blackmore Hotel mat in the front "lobby." Even the pre-game bathrooms looked exactly like a hotel restroom! Somewhere around the 80th location we've escaped and easily in the top five businesses for optimizing the user experience.

Because we were passing through, we booked both of their rooms at once. With Chris and Derek as our hosts and gamemasters, everything went off without a hitch, and their love for the Homicide Hotel and the escape room industry in general added to the night's enjoyment. Yes, Derek, we look forward to coming back when Chapter 3 opens!

I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. Our 13-y.o. daughter did fine while our 20-y.o. daughter needed more reassurance throughout, so it just depends on your crew.

With a storyline that plays on the exaggerated but still horrific stories of H.H. Holmes and his Murder Castle, every aspect of this location can keep the fear factor high if you so choose. However, if you just enjoy the puzzles or have extra jumpy players, you can temper the spook with the option for more lighting and playing around with the rubber body parts. The scenes are meant to be murderous and require interacting with disturbing scenes, but there are no live actors grabbing, tasing, etc. nor do you need to get your hands dirty by touching anything but props or put your hands inside any dark holes.

Apart from cursing in a voiceover recording and a prop jar of penises on a high shelf (Lorena Bobbitt must have been in town!), there wasn't anything that you couldn't find in a Spirit Halloween Store.

For the puzzles, there are multiple rooms that came as a complete surprise, and very few padlocks in use. The puzzles were mostly linear but could be evaluated and understood by team members individually while they looked at separate areas. Even so, solutions worked best with teamwork and good communication.

This was unlike any other escape room I’ve ever been to. Most are single room but this experience was not. It’s fewer puzzles and multiple rooms and solving one room opens up a secret passage to the next. From the moment you enter it’s a show. And the host was amazing! We did chapter 2 without solving chapter 1 and it’s possible. We would have loved to book both but we weren’t fully aware of this setup and it was a weekend and booked up quickly. It would be awesome to do both chapters back-to-back but for those wondering it’s not necessary. You can read the synopsis online and the host will also outline it for you. Plus before starting a whole show begins and you will understand the story immediately. It’s totally worth it. ❤️

We absolutely loved the creativity of the escape room! The clues were very clever. We had only done one other escape room before, and this one exceeded our expectation. This was not a mass-produced theme, very original. Definitely worth the price. We can't wait to do the next room! Thank you, 303 Escape!

We did the first chapter, Room 303. For someone who is a light horror fan, this has a creepy vibe but it wasn't too scary and they don't take it too seriously with the videos and fake gore.

The puzzles were pretty fun and unique and we were able to progress linearly and escape with quite some time to spare. I would recommend this room for beginners and anyone who enjoys a spooky theme. We're excited to come back for chapter 2!

This has been my favorite escape room experience in the Denver area. A thoughtfully curated story pairs well with intentional staff and deviously challenging rooms! My friends and I completed level 1 in October and knew immediately we had to return for level 2! The stories and rooms fit together well but it’s not mandatory to do one before the other.

Great experience! We weren’t able to book part 1 so we ended up doing part 2, but we were given a backstory of what happened so we can be prepared. If you’re arriving at night, it does look sketchy! (My wife didn’t even want to go in) but it’s for sure apart of the theme. The theme is a haunted hotel and of course you’re having to find clues in the room to be able to escape. The worker was very helpful and even complimented us on well we did. We didn’t get out in time but it’s for sure something we would return to. Be prepare for a couple jump scares 🙂

GREAT EXPERIENCE!
The puzzles are well crafted and our game master was helpful and attentive.
The room was spooky and a great level of challenging. I cannot wait to play the second room!

The only people giving this place bad reviews are people who don’t show up for their booked time and that is their fault alone. The policy is very clear on cancellation. Those bad reviews have nothing to do with the experience and should be disregarded.

We were in a couple of days ago and it is honestly one of the best escape rooms I have ever done! Very good atmosphere, the puzzles were difficult but made sense and the story was by far the most engaging narrative ive had attached to an escape room.
