A Casino in El Dorado Hills? Yep. And It’s Amazing.

When we heard a casino was coming to El Dorado Hills, we weren’t sure what to expect. But let me tell you—Eldo Chop House is here, and it’s a game-changer (pun intended). This place is more high-end dining experience than card room, with a gorgeous atmosphere, top-notch service, and some seriously impressive food and drinks.

Our server, Erika, was absolutely fantastic—attentive, professional, and made our visit even better. And if you haven’t tried the Kiss the Bubble cocktail yet, do yourself a favor and order one. It’s like a delicious science experiment, complete with a smoky bubble that bursts in the most dramatic way. Their craft cocktails are next level, and the whole experience is just fun.

So yes, there’s a casino attached, but trust me—this is no dingy, neon-lit, smoky backroom. Eldo Chop House is an upscale, well-executed addition to the area, and we’ll definitely be back. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it!

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Why has it taken this long to finally get a great dining experience in EDH, having moved here from the Bay Area many years ago I always missed the food and freshness of the nice establishments back there, if you are looking for great tasting food and drinks this is the place for you, I wish they will open for lunch because it's hard to get reservations as they are always booked up. We definitely need more restaurants like this for everyone to enjoy!

Had “bottle service “ to start and was a cool experience to watch. The appetizer was octopus and was delicious. Rib eye was perfectly cooked and buttery. The halibut and both sides were amazing. Met the owner and was very nice. The vibe was fantastic over. Big bar and smaller dining room which is awesome because it make it more boutique in my opinion. For night one of this new restaurant they did a fantastic job start to finish. A place well worth going

It’s finally here!! From the creator of the phenomenal Hero Ranch Kitchen in Saratoga, CA, we now have something similar in EDH! My family and I, who moved to EDH 3.5 years ago from the South Bay Area and have been on a quest for good restaurants (to no avail) ever since, dined at ELDO on the official opening night. Everything from the beautiful, clean dining room, to the delicious cocktails, to the food (the miso cod entree was 😚🤌 (chef’s kiss - delish!), to our lovely server and wait staff, to the very hospitable, welcoming restauranteur, was perfection! ELDO is by far the best restaurant in the area, and we will be back - again, and again, and again!

Had the most amazing experience at Eldo! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and the service was impeccable. The food? This is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited! We were fortunate to experience it before its official opening, and the staff couldn’t have been more hospitable or welcoming. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The service was not only quick but absolutely outstanding! My boyfriend and I usually stick to our favorite spots, but this place truly exceeded our expectations.
