Awful customer service and money thieves. The DirectTV service was offered as a part of an internet service with a Company called Lumos and "said" company never showed up to start my services so I canceled only to find out that DirectTV had already charged my card and said I missed the Buyers Remorse period and couldn't receive a reimbursement. I was appalled because I NEVER ordered service through DirectTV and they took money and refused to give it back although I NEVER used the service. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

On October 1, 2024, I ordered DIRECTV satellite service, and two programs I watch were not in high definition, despite my salesperson telling me that they were. On October 2, 2024, I called to cancel, and customer service (people who do not speak English well enough to understand. Do not believe me, then see other reviews) told me that I was one hour late to cancel and not have to pay an early termination fee, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with Christy, who told me that she would cancel it and that it was 1 full day, not 24 hours like the initial customer service rep told me (I recorded this conversation, as I have learned to record ALL conversations with customer service from ALL companies). She said that she would cancel my service and reimburse me by sending a pre-paid credit card for my full amount of $118.35. That card has not come, despite it being a month and a half.
Yesterday I called (and recorded) customer service to inquire where this card was, gave the representative the name of the supervisor I spoke to and the date that I called, and she told me that it would take two months to arrive. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and she came back several minutes later (a call to DIRECTV never takes less than 45 minutes) and said that her supervisor was not available and that they would call me back that day. Well, as you can guess, a supervisor never called back. I just want them to tell me the truth about when I received this card.

They have the worst Customer Service ever. They are always rude and do not listen to customer concerns. Google should allow for reviewers to give negative stars. Do not do business with this company spend your money somewhere else. They do not honor their offers. They promised to reimburse customers for the Disney dispute but did not honor their offer. Customers were one again left without the channels they paid for and services continue to increase each year. As a result of there terrible service, I have canceled my service.

If I could give minus stars I would!!!!!!! We pay $300 a month for directv & have been a customer for about 25 years. We have been without the local channel 7, which if I had a antenna would be a free channel, we also don't have Disney or ESPN... for a couple weeks now & I just now found out, oh they are so kind to raise our prices, even as they do not supply the programming I agreed to when I signed my contract. Please don't tell me with me paying $300 a month & I know I'm not the only one, that they can't come up with the money to pay Disney's contract. Are they that greedy. This by far isn't the first time, the last time, it was MONTHS before we ever got our channels back. I am absolutely furious with this company. I'll tell you what, I was tired of paying them $300 a month just to watch TV & by the way you'd think with a $300 bill there might be something on. What am I paying for? Now they want to raise the price & by the way give you less. I am literally just a hair away from canceling my contract with them. I literally want nothing to do with them. GREED HAS REALLY TAKEN OVER EVERYTHING OVER THERE AT DIRECTV!!!

Save your money!! So We paid for a certain package with all of the I wanted. I specifically went over all of the channels with my representative, and made sure that these were in the package I am disabled and pretty much bedbound so this is my only form of entertainment. Unfortunately I have gone to my favorite channel to watch a certain program only be to be told that the owner of the Contant does not want us to watch or view the program. What Excuse me!! I am paying for this channel & I am paying to watch these programs and I can’t believe that the owner just decides that I am not allowed to watch that program! Seriously!! That’s just ridiculous!! When I called about it unfortunately all I got was. Well unfortunately it’s about certain negotiations, but they don’t explain that to you when they are taking your money! Unfortunately you’re still paying for the channel you just don’t get to see certain programs! What the he”* is up with that!!
What a rip off!! Save your money & don’t purchase an entertainment package with DIRECTV streaming, you might end up being as unhappy as We are, if you do! Save your time and money and just go to Spectrum instead! 😡

Well it’s 2024 and DIRECTV still sucks! Now I’ve got like four channels. I can’t watch because their Disney contract is up. They’re not offering refunds for not being able to watch these channels which is BS. If you ask me, I think it’s time to find a new streaming company DR streaming TV sucks!! Save your money or go to Comcast.

One star is too much, but I wanted to add my voice to those of others in saying this company has the WORST customer service of any business I have ever dealt with. I just switched to Spectrum after being led around in circles (and led around the world) to speak with many people (most of whom could not speak English well enough for me to understand) and none of whom ever gave me a solution to my problem. Now I have to pay close to $400 to get out of my contract, which makes me think that might be the business they are really in... collecting on cancelled contracts from dissatisfied customers.

If you ever want to leave DirecTV, don't "suspend" your service, just cancel it and sign back up when you want it again. "Suspending" your service is a predatory practice that pauses your service temporarily, with the hope that you forget about it, and allows DirecTV to start billing you again for services WITHOUT telling you in advance other that when you originally "suspended" service.
