I had an amazing experience at 101 Ocean in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea! The atmosphere was fantastic, perfect for a relaxing yet lively time with friends. The place is vibrant, and you can tell they truly focus on creating a great environment for guests.

A special shout-out to Liz, our server – she was phenomenal! Her attention to detail, friendly attitude, and overall care for our experience really stood out. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations. It’s rare to encounter such top-notch service, and Liz definitely made our visit extra special.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area – great food, drinks, and even better service!

101 Ocean is quickly becoming my favorite brunch spot! I really enjoy my solo brunches here. Sometimes I’ll bring my iPad so I can feel productive and try to get some work done. But, who am I kidding? I’m only there for the food! The plantain-crusted grouper has me in a bit of a chokehold. Everything I’ve tried here is delicious. Service was slightly icy on one occasion, but it was a holiday and a bit busy so I think they were doing their best. Even though it’s located in an area with a lot of tourists, nothing about it feels like a tourist trap. Drinks and food are absolutely outstanding. Try the blueberry basil margarita!

The food is ok now days. Before was excellent.
My husband ordered the 101 half pound burger and it was ok, with a lack of flavor.. And I ordered the Original Philly Cheesesteak that before it was only shaved Ribeye, and now it is shaved ribeye and mushrooms but the menu doesn't appear that, so they put mushrooms and less meat 🤦🏼‍♀️ My guess is to cut cost.. 🤦🏼‍♀️ only found out when I was eating the texture was weird and since I don't eat or like mushrooms.. Oh well.. That will be the last time we go there.
Shame😢🤦🏼‍♀️.. I usually love to go there but it is not the same anymore.. They change the food, but the menu is the same.

Ok ..Had a guy “ Chris”as our server that bent over backwards and up side down…holy crap ..so much fun food was great but even if food wasn’t this guy was great ….got us a great table was so patient ( hey we are older but not too crabby but Made our friends feel so welcome ..hope he stays there for ever !!! Also with place packed food came flying out hats off to the kitchen and all the help!!! Chris might have coined a new drink name too ! A strong drink for women called a husband beater “ ok we started that but loved his humor/about it!!!
PS it was on musics night on a Friday on the street so that much harder but this place hit a home run!!

The food is good.
Happy hour prices great.
If you like noise, overcrowded restaurants with no parking, then you will love this place.
The happy hour apps are excellent.
On entre we got was fish and chips and it too was excellent.
Our server was way overworked with too many tables to even vaguely keep up with.
Not a problem until you tried to get a last drink during happy hour.
He missed us , a table of 8, could not make an exception, so we settled up and left.
Too bad because we are all good drinkers and tippers.
Good vibe but way too packed for our taste.

We were seated promptly. The ambiance was beach vacation cool. The food was fresh and delicious. We had a few appetizers. The Asian spice ribs, raw clams on the half shell, the truffle mac and cheese, and the crusted tuna. All were flavorful and served at the appropriate temperature. Cold appetizers first and then the hot, were delivered to our table. I would have gave this place 5 stars across the board but the service was poor. The place was busy but not so much so that every time out waiter passed us after delivering food or drinks, he would not look at our table or ask if we everything was okay or if we needed anything else. Not sure what his problem was.

2 person dinning. Placed in the middle of traffic with tons of beach goers walking around us, unsanitary and rude also makes me feel uncomfortable with people passing so closely, staff unhelpful with accommodation for us but for other people they could change tables or have their large dogs in the walk way, when trying to deter people from passing so closely against our table but allowing them to pass at a distance staff did not allow this, but allowed others to pick where they were comfortable. The same table was available when we came but we were not given the option, but when a couple ( Same amount of people but different race) come they are allowed to take said table. Very upsetting, food was fine but unable to enjoy with unruly people passing by or stepping on said dogs in the walk way.

Great spot, especially like the happy hour specials. 40% off some drinks, and they have smaller food specials for $10 during HH. Great for people watching! We always try to sit outside 🙂
